Amazon Comes to Forney
The City of Forney recently announced that it will soon be home to Amazon’s latest distribution center. Amazon will begin construction on a 200,000 square foot center under the development of Seefried Properties. The center will be located right here in Gateway and should be completed by late 2020. The City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission have already approved the necessary permits, which means the arrival of Amazon is only a matter of time.
This facility will bring new jobs to the community, and likely raise property values, since Amazon inevitably brings additional businesses–and residents–with it.
